Description:You will be the Structures Design Engineer for the Airframe Structures Team which is responsible for developing and validating aircraft structural solutions for the F‑22 program.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Structures Design Engineer you will be responsible for applying technical expertise to create and refine structural designs that enable mission‑critical performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to the development, testing, and validation of aircraft structural designs.
- Design, development, and finalization of structural and mechanical layouts with systems interfaces.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience with structural design
Desired Skills:
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience with metallic and composite design
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
