Arconic is currently in search of Davenport West High School Maintenance Machinist Student Apprentice to join our Central Maintenance Department based in Davenport, Iowa.

• Read, understand, and use blueprints to machine parts and assemble components, etc.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and assemble newly machined components for the purpose of restoring equipment to operating condition or for replacement, etc.
• Precise measurement of parts using micrometers and similar measuring tools.
• Train to operate machining centers such as lathes, mills, horizontal and vertical boring machines, drills, grinders, presses, and CNC equipment, etc.
• Train to understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems to facilitate the repair of valves, cylinders, and pumps, etc.
• Adjust, repair, maintain and lubricate machining equipment.
You have:
• Davenport West High School student who has completed a minimum of junior year.
• Candidate must be accepted through the Student Apprenticeship Program through a local high school in conjunction with Arconic
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
